What is the "Record" for stock bottom end?

Malicious: Not this year. Maybe next year. The mod's that I have done this year alone has drained the old bank book. Not this, but next winter I have an entirely different set-up.
Eric, I agree, I surrender. 9.6 is not going to happen with the SS in its present form. I'd have to drop 300-400 lbs to get even close, and than travel to a place with minus DA. Eric I wish I could really tuck the 30x9 inside the fenders. I have Convo Pros which have 5" B/S. They don't stick out, but they don't tuck. My 12-bolt has been narrowed 1.5" on each side. I need to find a set of wheels with 6 or 6.5" B/S and than drop the SS' ***-end down 3-4" - about the only thing I have refused to do is grind the **** out of the calipers. Talking about a "rake" job. I'll have to take a picture one of these days. Look more like a "funny" car than a door-slammer.
Well to anyone that it going to try to get to the 9.6 record, good luck. The bar has been set very high (or well low).

I think next time the "baby cam" comments pop I'll start referring people to this thread.
IconAutoSports=Very impressive!
This set up lasted over a year with out a problem. I rarely had to change the plugs. The car now has a 421 with alot more nitrous on it.
Weight 3281 with or without driver? The SS is 3285 without me, 3515 with me.With the new 421 (and the friendly bottle) have you made any passes? If you ran 9.6 on stock bottom end, it should be a killer set-up now.
Hey Eric: he's touched his stock block - the field is wide open for you now
Unless I get the 2 stage set up the 9.6 just isn't going to happen with my SS.Congrats.
I see you forgot the best mod of them all: HRP in February - wonder what the DA was ? minus a couple thousand feet

I can if & wish all day about my motor holding together with a bigger shot and that number still sounds out of reach. Heck, I just need to work on trying to catch 01WS6TA!!!! Well I ordered my 4.30 gears today and they should be here by the end of the week. After that install, I'm guessing I'll need to have the converter tightened up. This is how I plan on keeping the motor running longer, lot's of down time! Now if us in Florida can keep the rain and hurricanes away...

I run a 4.10 on a 29x10 slick when spraying.It might go faster than said MPH.

But I won't confirm or deny.
