Default Need help hooking up!!

I went to the track for the first time ever yesterday at Tri-state Raceway in IA and had one hell of a time. With the mods in my sig, all I could get out of it was a 12.625 at 113.4 with a 1.99 60', 0.46 RT. Can anybody give me some sugestions? I was thinking of at least HAL's in the rear along with an airbag in the right rear. Any ideas would be appreciated because I am pretty sure I can get into the 11's with traction. Just had it tunes at Speed Inc. last Tuesday and put down 370 HP and 371 TQ. Thanks guys!

Excellent first outing Jess. I'll guarantee no one else at the track would have guessed it was your first time at a dragstrip. My offer still stands--anytime you want to try my Quick Time Pro's you got 'em. I had a blast, and we're going to have to hit the track again before winter.

Hey here is what I do it may help it may not, anyway I put my Nittos down to 15psi and do a 8-10 sec burn out, then stage and launch at 3500rpm and have just cut my best 60ft of 1.83 and a 1/4 time of 12.32 at 112 with the mods in my sig.

maybe i am missing it, but i don't see a torque arm listed in your sig. teh stocker is a real POS and shoudl be dumped asap.
dont' worry about getting too fancy, the bmr adjsutable will do wonders for you.
follow tha tup with a battery relo to the spare tire well and i bet you will easily knock down low 1.8's without any trouble.

later

I agree with Dan and Tim. Go with the QA1 - all found corners, get the QA1 front drag springs. Get an after market TQ arm - set the angle at -2 to -3. Lower your DR to 15 cold (they will go up to 17-18 hot). Give the burn out hell - 5-7 seconds should be good but make sure they are heated good. Try 3500 launch, if you bog, bump the launch to 4000, if stick without bogging fine, if you spin lower your tire pressure.

A couple of other things you need to look at getting. The M6er's friend: 2-step and a line-lock.

I ordered just the HAL's for the rear for right now and a line lock and see how that goes next month at the strip. What do you guys usually set the shocks at for the strip and street? Thanks for any advice.
