HotRod...puh.. I just watched part of an infomercial for Universal Technical Institute (U.T.I.) and they had a segment with "Drew," the editor of HOTROD Magazine. I had to laugh when asked about a car sitting there (a 57 Chevy) with a big block engine in it. He was bragging about the car because they call it "GroundPounder" and he was telling about it. He mentioned it makes over 900hp and it's "street legal" as well as a race car. He said it makes that 900+ hp WITHOUT the nitrous and that the car had already run (get this) MID 10's at over 120mph in the 1/4 mile!!! WTF???? DORKS!
I could see 500hp but, 900?? He may as well have called it "The Budwieser King"... How ridiculous. I lost respect for HotRod about 8 years ago but, that... That just kills me.
Also, he mentioned that the nitrous used for that race car was "a totally different kind of nitrous than a dentist would have." Is it me, or is the difference the addition of Sulfar Dioxide added to "industrial grade," or, non medical grade nitrous oxide? I really can't respect a magazine like "Hot Rod" when I know their editors don't know JACK about performance! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Re: HotRod...puh.. I can see that. They DO make 17 inch wide STREET tires. So it probably run that on street tires. If you notice most times in magazines and things aren't what they should be.
