weird engine bogging in the burnout pit Hey guys,
I'm not sure if this is in the right forum, but here goes:
At the track I was getting ready for a run and i went through the water and pulled up to burnout. I pressed the brake then the gas and slowly increased the throttle then i let go of the break and then something weird happend. My RPMs dropped from 5.5 to 3 and stayed like that even at full throttle. It happens everytime i try to do a burnout. Can anyone explain what this is to me? I was thinking its torque management but i dont know much about torque management to blame it on that. Thanks for the help.

Re: weird engine bogging in the burnout pit Was this at LACR? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> First, never drive through the water, only if you have skinnies in the front. Drive around the water. Next, back up to the edge of the water box, still no water on the threads. Put the shifter in 1st, hold the brakes hard and start accelerating. When they brake loose, take the rpms up to 5000 rpms and shift into 2nd. For LACR (or Ca tracks really), you must wait until you see smoke from your rear tires. Once you see smoke count to two and let off the brake and floor it to the pre-stage line. The reason you rpms are coming down is because that is normal, the tires are starting to get grip. Make it hard for your engine to keep the rpms up.
