Paging Top 6 NA LS1s
You all have added cubic inches but all have different sized engines. I was wondering the specs on the heads and cam and chassis set ups make you each different and also the things that everyone of your car has. How about torque arms. Is everyone using LS6 heads. I am building a big cubed motor and was wondering how to set up my car and what you find works.

I know i was just hoping they could help out with a few things. Judson seems to be the only one that has a webpage with everything possible listed.

Re: Paging Top 6 NA LS1s
I have NO secrets.
I have the S1 cam and Stage III LS6 heads that anyone can get from MTI. I believe I'm still the only one to run 9s with a hydraulic cam.
I run an old Randow Tech TQ arm. Nothin' fancy.
Feel free to ask any questions about my old setup. There is nothing I won't tell you if I know.

Re: Paging Top 6 NA LS1s
Wow thats awesome Colonel thanks. I really like the part about the hyd. cam. And i got Judson's info from his site. Pains site is down and BeaSSt just says SAM 436. We could start with the first thing it takes to building the motor and thats the size of the bore and stroke and also what sleeves are being used.

Re: Paging Top 6 NA LS1s
My block was done by ARE, using whatever sleeves they use. The bore is 4.100", and the crank is stock. The rods are Eagle H-beams, and Ross custom forged pistons. ARP hardware throughout (main studs, ARP capscrew rodbolts, ARP headstuds).
The heads are ARE 2.02/1.57" 5.3 truck castings, with Comp 1.55" springs. The cam is a custom Comp solid roller, but I'd rather not give out the specs on the cam. It's fairly big, though
Top it off with a stock LS6 intake manifold and ported throttle body...

Re: Paging Top 6 NA LS1s
Very interesting...colonel runs 50lb injectors w/inline,intank and boost a pump while pain is running a stock fuel system. That's quite a differance between the two. Great topic by the way.

Re: Paging Top 6 NA LS1s
Also Pain and Colonel use hyd rollers. But notice they both said lots of weight reduction so that might make up for the difference between the solid roller and the hyd cams.

I also run flowmatched injectors, in fact Colonel recommended them to me . Other than that the fuel delivery system is stock. Might be interesting to see if I get any gain by upgrading the system.
