Default New times at the Rock

Yesterday me and my friend steve (96 cobra) went to Rockingham for some test and tune.I ran my car @3650# with regular radials just how we drive and i got three good passes in.The first one was right of the street and it was still hot and it ran a
60=2.21
1/4=13.10
mph=111.99
The second run i let the tires down to 20# and cleaned them of a little better and got a
60=2.09
1/4=12.79
mph=112.55
On the third run i let it cool and leaned it out a little with the translator and got a
60=2.06
1/4=12.56
mph113.98
Needless to say i was happy.My mods as of now are
lid
filter
translotor
macs with a orp.
My buddys cbra ran 10.7 @132 all day and this is a real street car with A/C and all.You would be suprised to see how little is done to it considering how fast it is.When he gets it all sorted out it should run low 10s @ 135 in street trim.

You should consider running at Fayetteville on Sundays. The track prep is usually much better than the rock and its right off of I95.

Nick i tried to call you but could not get thru.You mist a good time just to watch steves car run 10.7s and spin the tires thru first and second all over the track was something to see.We are going back in about a month or so and This time im going to drag you if i have to. .Next time i go i hope to have a ported TB and seal my air box to the hood i want to go 115mph.If i keep finding all this free power i will be ready for that "yellow 03 cobra" without my heads and cam.

You were not kidding when you said you were running Rich . Almost identical short times and you picked up 1.5 MPH Thats about 10-15 HP Just from leaning it a bit. 114 is insain.

With BG Ram air, Ported TB, 3"Catback/Cutout, 160 T-stat, and Decreened MAF still in the bag 'o tricks I think you could do even better than 115. Remind me and I will pull my Airlid next time we get together so you can take a look at Bauer's TB.

Wow John, Great times. 114 is badass. With sticky tires and a rear you could go into the 11s pretty easy . I will go next time even if I have to stop and on the way down . Class started today .

Sounds good Nick.If i can go a 115 to 116 with a stock motor at full weight.I wonder what it will run with the GTP/224 combo at about 3400.

Mid 11s @125 with regular radials?
