front sway bar
I have a 98 camaro ss with the m6. I remember reading about unhooking the front sway bar for better weight transfer. Is this true? How much will it improve my 60' times? How do you unhook the swaybar? I havent seen any descriptions anywhere.
Thanks,

Re: front sway bar
Im gonna have to try this next time I go to the track. Im going to loosen up my front shocks while im under there. I ran a 13.5 with basically stock car except for the loudmouth exhaust. My 60' times were around 2.2 and 2.3 .

Re: front sway bar
A disconnected, or completely removed front swaybar is great for the drag strip, or street driving in a straight line, but do not think you can corner on & off the freeway ramps like you used to w/bar connected! You'll end up in the bushes--or worse. Best wishes. WJ. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Re: front sway bar
it will transfer weight a lot better. you will notice the front end coming up easier and higher. as far as unhooking it, just unbolt it from the lower a-arms. or, you could remove it completely. dont know too many people that still have the front swaybar. mine has been off for almost a year with no adverse affects on handeling.
