Finally a 12 Ha, yep one of those finally in the 12 posts. All I needed was traction and boom there I was.
BFG drag radials help a lot.
12.97 @ 109.7mph
Now I just have to get my headers on and work on my 60' just a bit more and see where we go from there.
Today I was trapping in the 109-110 range, which seemed kind of high to me for my mods. Any thoughts??

Re: Finally a 12 After watching you guys hook up all day, I'm going to send the Nittos to Trojan condoms and let them make lubricated rubbers out of them. How did those BFG's look when you got home? Re: Finally a 12 The BFGs looked fine when I got home - I'll switch them back tomorrow at some point.
However, the ride back with them was not exactly thrilling. Those puppies really really don't like rougher surfaces and bridge gaps at all. I think I might turn those into track only tires, not even driving them to the track anymore.
You just need to get those Hoosiers on yours and then I'll be asking you about traction...haha.

Re: Finally a 12 BFGs suck on the street, good for track use only, Exactly the opposite for Nittos, they are an awesome street racing tire, but leave alot to be desired for track use.
BTW, AWESOME times man, I think it was the chambered system that did it for you. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

And yes - I will officially say that BFGs suck on the street. Even though it was perfectly dry. I just wanted to give em a try and I figured since they were brand spanking new, now would be the time. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Cammin - thanks for the kind words. It most certainly was the chambered exhaust. I have a cutout sitting at home, but why put it on because I would just loose the GMMG advantage <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Re: Finally a 12 Congrats on the new best times... I assume you were at SDR yesterday? If so, the cold weather made for some not so good traction.. I was able to get my 11 finally... Took ET Streets to do it though.

Re: Finally a 12 Thanks guys. I desperately need a line loc so I can properly heat those tires, and then of course a clutch would help (still running the stock clutch at the moment). After that - well we'll see.
