What exactly is "DA"?
What is it and how does it affect racing and stuff. I uderstand the elevation stuff but not this. Is more or less better?
Josh S.
It stands for Density Altitude. It's basically effected by temp, humidity, barometric pressure and altitude. The denser the air, the more oxygen it holds per volume. More O2= more horsepower
So is a higher or lower better? So is a 1100 better than something like a 1900?

If you are trying to figure out the DA on a given day find out the altitude of the race track you are going to than go here http://www.wunderground.com/ and grab all the necessary information and plug it into the above calculator and it should give you the appropriate DA. Hope we helped!
