Default Gears and Tire

I am going to ad h/c to my car but want to go bolt-on first. I am actually thinking of doing the 12-bolt as my first mod! I will do a SPEC S3 clutch and chromemoly driveshaft as well? Who makes the best d/s? AMS ok?
-Is this a good idea?
-I know 4.10's are streetable. How streetable are 4.30's and 4.56's?
-How much gain in the 1/4 will I make with the 4.30's over the 3.42's? With 4.56's?
-Will 450rwhp and 4.30's/4.56's spin on et streets? What rpm should I dump at? What size slick should I get, 26 or 28"?
-Someone, I think Verbs, said he was going to et drags from streets with 4.30's and was planning on picking up .2. I thought slicks were better than DR's?
Just trying to get a feel for drag racing?
-If my car runs a 13.0 at 107 mph with 3.42's and street tires... how much will it pick up with slicks and skinnies (if the clutch, d/s and rear held) with 3.42's?
-What about slicks, skinnies and 4.30's? 4.56's?

I am going to do headers and the intake last, after the heads and cam because that is when they really seem to shine. There seems to be almost no gain with them with a stock engine. I am going to be adding a FTRA as well. .15 -.2 realistic? Thanks for any help- Mike W.

Default Re: Gears and Tire

ET Drags are slicks as well. Not street legal.

Street tires -> drag radials -> et streets -> et drags.

That's how it goes.
