28" slicks on lowered T/A...
I am looking for a little help from the guys who run a 28" MT ET Drag slick on a lowered Trans Am. What all do you have to hack up to make them fit? Is the same stuff on a stock height car jsut more of it? Trying to decide if I should try to make the 28s fit or switch to 3.73s and keep the 26s.
Thanks,
Justin

Well my SS isn't lowered but i run a 28x10.5x15 goodyear eagle (true 28in. tire) And i i've got room to spare up top but it's tight front & back. Had about 1 inch front and back. had to do a little clearencing because they would rubb on the big end. The M/T's shouldn't grow as much either. I would think they would clear.
28x9x15 ET Drag on 15x8 Weld/5.5 offset might make contact on launch on the driver's side. All my BG/2001 pics are of 28x9x15/15x8 combo, no spacers...

Mine tucked in okay but my car is stock height or higher in back.
My daily driver tires last year were 275-60-15 MH DOT's (old azz tires) and they were on 15x8's and the got cut up a few times with the rear shocks on soft.
