Default Info on JEGS 8pt. cage.

It is a POS. It is NOT a "weld in and go" cage. Do not buy it. Thanks.

I wouldn't have thought it was a weld in and go solution, but it shouldn't be that bad... What kind of issues are you running into?

In their catalog it says the tube ends are notched. Well, there are two ends to each piece, and only one end is notched. Besides, the end that is notched is unusable. EVERY piece needs to be cut. Hell, even the hoop is wrong. It is 8.5 inches too tall.

I aint having any problems with it anymore. I dropped the car and cage off at my exhaust guys shop Friday. He has installed many cages, so I will let him do it for me.

My wife put it to me like this. Why dont I just go to work one weekend and make more than enough money to pay for the install and stay nice and clean.

I wanted to do it myself, but sometimes that aint the best way to do it.

Sounds like the hoop is just made oversized so you can cut it down to the exact size you need/want. I don't know why that would be necessary, though, since all the 4th gen cars hve the same dimensions there in that area.

I have a Y-type RJS harness. The shoulder belt portion is bolted to a tab on the rollbar. The lap belts and crotch belt are bolted to 1/2" studs I mounted on the floor.

My friend just had the Jegs cage installed in his car. It took a lot of fabricating, but it looks great.

Here are some photos:

I like that cage better than the one going into the speakers.
