Time for new slicks?
What's a good way to tell when it is time to get some new meats? I've had my hoosiers for approx. a year now and have cut many mid 1.4's on them. The last outing I was about .1 off in the 60' but also ended up killing my posi on the same day. The wear indicator holes are still there, so how often do you guys change them out? Should I give them another chance with the new 12-bolt? Do slicks have a shelf-life aside from the wear indicators?

I would use them until the wear indicators, but I wouldn't drive on them that much when they get down to that point... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Thanks guys, I'll give them another shot out at the spring break shootout and see how they work.
Hey Jim, finally got the 12-bolt with a gear so we'll see how she does, have you been back to the track at all since the BADRAP day?
