last of the Z28's

im changing hoods on my z and would like to put a shift light at the back of the hood(raise vvertical part of the cowl).i just want to put one weather proof lamp or led in it.how do i go about setting it up to turn on at a specific rpm?what parts will i need and where to hook it up so i dont fry anything?
