What gears do I need?
What gears do I need? 1999 WS6 convertible approx 4000lb race weight!!!!
LS1 Motorsports Turbo with hopefully 600rwhp/600-700rwtq.
I currently have a Moser 9" with 4.10 gears.
It is a 6 speed.
I was running 11.70 119mph with my ARE 378 last year with the 4.10s and was going through the traps @ approx 6300 rpm.
I was thinking 3.30 or 3.50 with the huge torque this thing will be making.
Any Thoughts?

Re: What gears do I need? Keep the 4.10s and run a 28 inch slick at the track <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> That would be the best matched combo for your application at the track IMO

If you want max ET you need some sort of 28" tire.

Re: What gears do I need? I am interested in good track times but it is not my main priority. What would be best for my dailing driving with 275/40/17 Drag Radials and weekend trips to the track.
I have 11.5" wide ET streets mounted on 16" rims.
I think they are 26" high for the track.
