Default Urgent: Roll Bar Install Question

I'm having my roll bar installed. All is well with one exception. The door bars will not let the doors close. Apparently the door bars will hit the arm rests and even the speakers. The car is a 94Z28, but the door panels are the 98 Transam panels (arm rests and speakers).

One solution install a bars that bend up parallel just above the arm rests and then turn down, but this will make it harder to enter.

Another would be to leave the bar basically a straight shot, but bend it inward toward the driver about an inch. This (according to my installer) might not pass tech since it "cannot touch the driver".

Another might be Camaro door panels if they are a little smaller.

Another I've been told is to remove the arm rests and flush the speakers.

What have y'all encountered and what as been your solution.

Thanks in advance for quick responses...trying to finish this up tonight.

All my door bars are bent in some to go around the arm rest area. There isnt any way for the driver notto touch the bars. You will need to pad the bar per NHRA specs.

Thanks. And I couldn't ask for a more credible source of info.
