vht trackbite use
Now,
1) I know that typically people heat up the tires, then spray some vht, then do another short burnout and then race. While this technique should work, how much worse is spraying vht on the tires in staging lanes? I don't really want to block the burn-out area, unless I must. What about making one pass and spraying right after that? Also, I heard some bikers spray vht on tires a night before the race. How much really to spray? Please share your experience.
2) Where do you get it? - places with the best prices and, if possible, some spraying systems. So far I only saw one-gallon coolant-type bottles.
Thanks for all opinions.
Guess this is a free post, dunno the answers to your questions <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="gr_emb.gif" /> - dont have much experience with VHT other than trying to get it off my paint <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" />
I'd see an in car spraying system as nothing but a pain in the butt. This stuff makes a sticky nasty mess, and it certainly wouldn't "spray" (more like dribble). Just buy a gallon from Jeg's ($20), pour some in to a smaller squeeze bottle, and have a friend dump some on the track when it's your turn (ask permission from the track folks in the staging area first, tho).

As far as track use I doubt many tracks would let ya do that(unless its like the couple track around here that I run at). Try it! All they can do is tell ya not to do it again!

P.S. Make sure you keep it sealed up while you are traveling to and from the track. I left my bottle in my trunk for like a week(kinda forgot about it) and I began to smell something and I was like wtf, and I finally realized what it was. It does smell good though.
