WHAT THE HELL!!!! PLEASE HELP WITH SWAYBAR i went to take off my sway bar on my 99 trans am. i took off all of the bolts. then i got to the driver side that holds the sway bar up. i took off the two bolts on the bottom and it would not come off. by the way, i did not have my car on a jack or lift. just squeezed under it. so what bolts do i have to take off on the driver side of the sway bar that holds it up, not the endlinks, those were easy. everything was easy except the last part. Re: WHAT THE HELL!!!! PLEASE HELP WITH SWAYBAR well, the swaybar actually runs through some of the plastic underneith. get up under there and you will see. thats probable what is holding you up. good luck.

Re: WHAT THE HELL!!!! PLEASE HELP WITH SWAYBAR the plastic/felt peice that holds the swaybar up on the driver's side is easily pulled off. Just above the hole in the felt, there is a silver quick-screw nut. You should be able to back it off with your fingers.
