I had to grind off a good amount of material to make my 15 X 10 draglites fit. I still use a 7/32" spacer though, cause it was a little tight without one. I think you are OK. Many guys here use no spacer at all.

Default Info on Wheel weights inside...

Well, as I spent all last sunday evening and monday morning grinding rear calipers I weighed my wheels, heres the weight:
Stock Z-28 Wheels (the funky twin 5 spoke not the true 5 spoke) w/ Overly bald, cord showing Nitto 245/50/16's =39.4lbs
Stock Z-28 Wheels w/ factory Good-for-a-Year GSAs with half life (fronts) = 38.8lbs

ProStar 26x11.5x15 ET Streets screwed = 36lbs
proStar 26x7x15 (a little wide I know)w/7/16 spacers for caliper clearance = 29.9lbs.

Basically saved 20lbs on the front and very little on the rear, but the added grip is more than worth it.

Question for those grinders out there, how much can I safely remove from the outside edges of the front calipers and brackets? I would like to use a little smaller spacer, or none at all. I would be looking at possibly 1/4inch. Is this safe?

TIA. Charlie.

LOnSLO, I was thinking about another 3hours saturday grind, but this time on the front. Hopefully I can remove enough to reduce the spacer thickness. And I broke a Lingenfelter Long Stud using a hand wrench and not really cranking on it either! ouch knuckles hurt now.

Just changed the rear diff fluid and installed the TA Rear cover w/ stud preloaders and a cheesy jegs el cheapo DS loop (need a little bending to get it off the torque arm). Two more days and its track time again.

Not sure about the drop dead accuracy, but i was using a bathroom scale. I did however maintain the same weights each time i weighed them, so the difference in weight was what i was really looking for. Thaks though, and maybe i need to change from prostars to draglites?
