basic traction I am a little bit confused about the different options i have to help my traction. I definitely want to get a spare set of rims and tires to use at the track. I have an A4, can anyone explain the different options and their costs? I'm not looking to get a new rear end or anything, I just want relatively cheap and cost-effective mods.

Re: basic traction Cheapest and most effective option is to get a set of 26x10.5x16 inch ET Streets and buy a set of stock 16 inch Camaro/Fiorebird rims to mount them on.
Where you are an A4 a Vig3200 stall converter and tranny cooler will really help with ET and MPH.
That with free mods and a cutout is good for mid 12's <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Also at near stock powerlevels you can run ~20psi in the ET streets and still hook. (this will also help your mph at the big end <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Re: basic traction much bigger then that converter and the ET Street has a hard time holding even on stock internal car. I have a 4200 YANK. It doesn't like anything but ET Drags. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: basic traction you would have to grind em even if you get spacers more than likely...I did. You can probably find someone with some stock salad shooters and buy two wheels for about $50 or so if you look and they will be 16" which will require no grinding at all <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
