Default What et should i be getting in the 1/8th

Ok, friday was my second time going to the local track (1/8th mile, Qualcomm stadium parking lot ). The track has no prep and traction sucks it up big time, people spray down water for burnouts, and you have to go through it. Anyways i have been cutting 2.5x 60 foots, and getting 9.3x et's. I know that my bald stock goodyear rs-a's and the track have a bad relations ship and that traction is hurting me badly. With all those bad times i have been a little happy with my mph 82-83mph. My car has a corsa exhaust, ftra, lid, k&n, maf ends, smooth bellow, tb bypass. Are those trap speeds right where they should be with those mods, and what could a 83-82 mph trap speed get me with around a 2.0 60 ft? I am getting new tires/wheels, and buying some nitto drag radial to put on my old wheels. Then i will be able to tach it up and launch harder. Right now i somewhat get off the pedal when the tires start spinning, and that is causing the bad 60 foot, should i try to stay on the pedal as much as i can and spin until it gets traction mid to late into 1st gear.

The trap speed looks pretty good for your mods. You might be able to add a couple mph with traction. The et's are also good considering your 60ft. With a good 60ft, you should cut high 8's in the 1/8.

Oh, write a sig so people can see your mods, and include whether your car is an A4 or M6

just go to a track thats prepped! I have to drive almost 2 hours to get to a decent track here

but 83-84mph would usually be a 8.7-8.9 i believe

you need to get a decent tire which will help a bit more on that unprepped track. As for launching, you will just have to pedal the car untill you find the best way to hook and ET! Its one track close to me(30mins), but I refuse to run there since I can only cut 1.8 60's compared to the 1.5's I can cut

I ran at the same crappy track that night on 26/ 8.5/ 15 ET drags at 12 PSI and only cut a 1.9 60' time on a 3500 RPM dump.

had to let out of it because the car was getting squirrley in 2nd gear.

ran an 8.5 @ 82 on the run I let off.

the other ran I launched at 4500 and spun to a 2.0 60' time and an 8.6 @ 85 and tagged the rev limiter in 2nd

I know with a good launch and staying in it I can probably get a 8.2 or so @ 85+

Jeff- if you wanna borrow the slicks one time I'll let you run them and see what kind of times you can pull
