Default 11.704@119.. Need some help

Here's the slip:
60'-1.69
330'-4.90
1/8 -7.54 @93.6
1000' -9.80
1/4 -11.704@119.03.
Raceweight was a porky 3515, but I was expecting better. My main question is about gearing though. I am thinking of switching to 4.30's over my current 3.89's. I'm using 27" Hoosier QTP's now. They hook awesome! Even pulled the wheels on the last run of the night, but it bogs back down after the initial takeoff. Will 4.30's completely eliminate this? What kind of gains can I expect going to 4.30's, if raceweight remains at 3500?

4.30's would definitely help <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> Launch that pig at 6500rpms <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Cheers,
Chris

I was launching at 6600. I hooked every time, but then the dreaded nose dive and bog about 30 feet out <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> Would 4.30's at a 3400 raceweight get me low 11's?
Thanks Chris - BTW - Your interior is killer!

Thanks! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I think 4.30s will definitely get you low 11's.

One thing is to make sure you arent accidently lifting after launch (It is REAL easy to do)

Bring the revs to 6600rpm.
On the third yellow FLOOR the gas and lift off the clutch. (do them at the same time but with the gas leading if you know what I mean)

Then consciously think about KEEPING YOUR FOOT TO THE FLOOR!

I went from a 1.66-1.8X sixty to a 1.58 sixty once I realized I was accidently lifting slightly after the initial hit on launch. this may not be your problem but it definitely helped me when I made sure to think that way during launch.

Cheers,
Chris

Good tip. Now that you mention it, it does seem easy to do. I'll have to remember that one. Thanks again Chris. I'll report back on the gear change results next week.
<--------Keeping fingers crossed for an 11.2 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
