1.4 60' possible with this????
Right now I have the stock suspension under the car and I plan on adding some subframe connectors, control arms, relocation brackets, maybe a panhard rod, and possibly a torque arm later on.
I was thinking I could do it on nitrous b/c I have seen some people run 1.5's with nittos and I'll probably through some slicks on.

but the question is.. will my rear let me. Your's isnt gonna like a dead hook on a 150 shot off the line and that vig3600
You are making a great choice with the flp tranny. Make sure you run a big tranny cooler.
You shouldnt need an aftermarket panhard bar unless your rearend is not centered. Otherwise there is no performance to be had. I also think your setup will work fine on the stock torque arm. Plenty of people with A4's at the power levels ranging from bolt-on to H/C-nitrous setups have no problems with the stock torque arm.
I think you can get a 1.4x out of this setup as long as you have the tire.
I'm gunna look for that thread, I saw it the other day but I kinda overlooked it.
PSJ... I don't expect to be making any 1.4's with that set up untill they have a BIG race at the track and its prepped really good. I wish I knew of some good great tracks around. My local track is about the best hooking track in the state and its not very good sometimes.

I have been a BIG Yank for a while though.
Mike... I checked the classifieds and that converter was a ST3800 instead of an SS series. I was praying it was an SS series though.
Anyone else wanna tip in?

Just a heads up, i wanted to mention that if u plan on doing this with a head/cam/nitrous setup think again. a vig3600 and a bottle are ok on a bolt-on car..once you do H/C forget about it..it flashes way too high.
good luck

i thought it was bassackwards from that??? Mine hated N20 with my vig3600 because it stalled to high with the stock revlimit to make any power on spray. Thats why i sold my TNT kit.
Now with heads cam, you can rev the motor higher and spray. Thats where you a decent stall
i dont see where the yanks are much more efficent anymore. I see more 4000-4400 yank verters trapping 116 cam only. Hell i trapped 117 with my vig3600, 3.23's, and a unlock converter so i know they arent any worse than the yanks
just looks to me that most people skipped from a 2800vig to a yank 4000 or so instead of trying the vig3600. Thats why you see more yank cars running quicker ET's
if you want awesome NA times stick with the vig.. the yanks are good though for spray cause they can be made for juice
If i were to spray i'd use a vig3200 or something like a yank SS3600 or a PYE3600

I hope it doesn't come down to a financial decision( I am gunna have to order the transmission and pay the core charge on it and I'll be damned the money I was gunna use for the converter will be used to the core for now).
Either way I prefer not to pay over 600 bucks for a converter(which a vig is 650 new) but that would be a new converter where a yank would be almost a 1K.

I've only got about 8 runs on the setup, but has worked great so far.
I'm selling the FLP and the Vig when the motor gets back. I'm going with a 400T.
I dont think your rear end will hold up to a shot like that, out of the hole. You are not going to cut a 1.4 60' unless you spray out of the hole. You better have an upgraded rear end for that.
