I hope you had a great time at the races.
The people over at RCR are great. Todd runs a great track and is one hell of a nice guy.

Coach, yeah the track was great, we plan on making the next race in Houston and the last 2 again at RCR...trying to get into the points race! I'm getting the impresion that 10.5 tire racing is the way to go, there's no doubt that's where the money is at!

Aren't these the guys with something like a $2500 engine buy-out deal? I've read a little about this new class, but I didn't think the guys would have those cars flying like that!

Kinda cool. Buy-out $3k for longblock, $2k for tranny/converter, $500 for carb. $5500 and you have a complete drivetrain.

Do you remember any of the times in the 10.5 class? I heard Glidden beat Millen...Any results would be appreciated..
Thanks
Phil

I actually just talked to Dan about this 20 mins ago. Billy Glidden won. Dan beat himself really. He's testing out a new product and something went wrong with it. I'm not going to give details because he may not want it publicized. He said he let off 5.9 seconds into the pass and ended up coasting to a 7.3.
After reading those rules, I find the cars in that class just that much more impressive now. Wow!

George, from what I've read on that class, most motors usually tally above the 3 grand mark once done. One guy last year refused a claim and therefore lost the points for the year, not like it mattered it was the last race of the year. I think they should make it points and prize money, then it'd be interesting. Still, they are running damn fast for the money!
