ls1 wins if the drivers are even close to the same skill. a pro driver in an lt1 could probably beat a bad driver in an ls1 but other than that stock to stock the ls1 owns.

I had a 95 Camaro Z-28 LT1 and Now I have a 98 Trans Am LS1. And there is NO comparison between the two. I dont care if it was from a stop, roll, or any other kind of race there is no comparison stock for stock and mod for mod the LS1 just keeps pulling farther from the LT1..

On a dead stop race when both cars were stock I could most likely put 6-8 cars on my old stock Z when my TA was stock..

Maybe I had a pig of an LT1, but I seemed to outrun all the other LT1s around town that were remotely stock or had a few mods...

Default Lt1 Vs ls1

From a dead stop how close would a lt1 camaro come to a ls1 camaro? Both bone stock! I here these lt1 s could keep a ls1 guess'in with all there low end grunt. (carlengths after first gear, second, etc. or whatever to describe it) oh and both m'6. There one giving me beef around town all he has is cold air intake and exhaust. I want to shut him up! I just got my camaro and it only has 3200 miles on it...but i'll still run him.

Mine is an auto, and I absolutely CRUSH a buddy of mine in his M6 LT1. He has borla, and one of those K&N things, and every time we race, I put buslenghts on him from a stop, roll, doesn't matter. He's a good driver too. Oh, and that's without the bottle.

I'd say you DEFINITELY have him covered.

You are lookin at 40-50rwhp difference with the weight being close to the same. Maybe .4 difference in ET with 2 good drivers.

I dont agree with mod for mod, when heads and cams start going in the gap closes. Lt1 cars have won their share of the F body races with similar mods. Their is a bolt on LT1 car in the 11's, many bolt on cars in the 12's, my 94 6 speed ran 12.88@110 with bolt ons and a radial tire with stock suspension(1.93 60 ft)so the ls1 is faster to a point. Plus a whole HELL of alot more dollars to mod internally, LT1 stuff is getting cheaper.
