How I launch on Nitto drag radials
You have to remember that when I do street race it is at 2am and on a desolate service road to the highway with sound deadening walls next to it so the people can't hear the highway noise. I normally have somebody flag the race and ask the person if they want to do a burnout and what lane they want. Since it is so late I can afford the time to plan out what we will do because at that time or later/earlier in the mourning there is not that much most of the time if any traffic on the street let alone this section of highway service road. I do not try and do the stoplight races because I don't have the luxury of setting my car up properly to get the full 1/4 mile run in.
The reason why most of me and my friends do this is because the track by us just closed down and the nearest one is about a 2 hour drive to get to and costs about 70dollars including tolls for maybe 2 trips down the track and it is harder when they close at 10pm or earlier. If there was a track that was open later or maybe even 24hrs and cost like 10bucks or so to race, hehe
that would probably cut down on the street racing. That is my opinion and take it for what it is worth. Enjoy the read, look forward to hear/read some of your feedback.
