Default Explain to me how this works.

Ok so I run an 11.8 @ 118 mph on motor. Go back around to run on the spray and pull the exact same 60', 1.8, hit second and spray all the way out and run an 11.6 @ 125 mph on a 100 shot. How the hell does that work?? Could I be leaning out and not getting a good spray?? I am still on the stock pump. Could it be running too rich, I did accidentally jet it one step too rich for a 100 shot but I wouldnt think it would have made that much of a difference. Any ideas whats up??

Tires??? Track prep. 1.8's are not all that good with your set-up - (I usually shoot from the hip and tell it like I see it).

On a totally stock engine - 100 shot (last year) - M6 (at that time). My SS did 1.5's and 11.38 at 124 in the 1/4. Suspension was better than average. Track prep was only average. This year is totally different with an A3 so I will not go there.

Spinning?? .. If you are getting the weight transfer correctly - just on the engine you should be in the 1.5... On 100 shot at least 1.4. But to get these you need a very good suspension set up, adjusted correct and a damn good set of tires. More power you make the harder it is to put it all down to the pavement.

To many variables just to say one thing is different. And yes, by jetting up one set of fuel jets will slow it down. Again how much?? Maybe - big maybe - .1.

Not sure that this helps. But look at your suspension and tires. Are they cutting the grade?

I am running ET Streets but my suspension is 100% stock. I am trying to not break the 10 bolt by launching the **** out of it. I really thought that by pulling the same 60 and then spraying that my ET would have dropped alot more than .2, I did gain 7 mph. I just thought it would have gone somewhere around 11.3 or something doing it like I did it. Of course I only got to try a couple of times because one of my ET Streets got a hole in it so I had to go home.

correct me if i'm wrong but are you saying you only sprayed 2nd gear on?

if so, there is the reason you only gained two tenths.

remember for every tenth in the sixty foot you will gain roughly 1.5-2 tenths in the quarter..well you did the same sixty foot and then if you sprayed 2nd gear out its logical you'd only grab up 2 tenths with a 100 shot. the 7 mph seems on par as well for that scenario..
