Question Squirrely at the Track

Took my Formula to the track today for the second time since I've owned the car. Conditions were awesome and I beat my goal for e.t. Anyway, at the 1-2 shift the car got real squirrely; it was a chore trying to keep it straight while staying on it. It's no fun going down the track sideways. You can see by my sig that the car is pretty close to stock. What do I need to correct this problem? Are SFC's the first step? Air bag? I need to hold off on go-fast mods until I can control the power I have.

It's all in the way you finesse the throttle....you'll get it down with the more passes you make down the track.

Yep, I was at WIR for the GTO club race day and show. I am not a fast LS1, though ! I ran a 13.4, with a 2.1 60'. This on my KDWS street tires and stock converter. I think I might be able to get another tenth or two off my time as is ... with a converter and Nittos, the twelves. There were a fair number of LS1's running - mostly mid-13's. A guy in a new GTO with some mods got his down to the mid-twelves. The faster cars were mostly traditional Pontiacs, as it was a Pontiac event.
