Manual Brakes ??

Default Manual Brakes ??

Want to change to manual brakes and remove the abs but have some questions. Been looking at the kits from Billingsley and Madman. Can either of these kits be used with the factory brake calipers?

Of course...the calipers don't care whether the pressure comes from a vacuum-assisted brake setup or from your big right foot setup.

I have the billingsley setup w/ linelock and it is really nice, be sure when you install it to take out the brake pedal and drill a hole about 1" higher than the stock booster hookup, and install the Brake Booster hookup in the new hole. this will make it easier to apply the brakes, puts the pedal at a better angle.

Yes very important. I just want to know what's up w/ the odd shaped bolt that holds the brake pedeal in. It's like a ellipse of some sort, but nothing the 'ol vicegrips couldn't handle.

How is the stopping power after the manual conversion? I am thinking about doing this but still plan to try the car in stop and go traffic. The only thing in recent memory that I have to compare it to is a 74 Barracuda which had manual brakes but I'm sure the TA brakes would be a lot better!
