How much will this effect 60'?

Default How much will this effect 60'?

I just got my car goin again. Had to rebuild turbo 400 and swapped converter from tci 3500 to yank ss4000e cuz I plan on sprayin the car and figured it would pick up on motor too. Now i'm just curious, I had an x-pipe with bullets dumped before and will again soon, but right now I have just 18" extensions off the collectors. So how much low end power and 60' foot will I lose with those? Cuz my 60' went from 1.58's and 1.59's with the tci off the footbrake to 1.77's and 1.78's off the footbrake with the yank and 1.70's to 1.73's off the transbrake. I also haven't checked the tune yet to see if it's out of whack from the diff exhaust, I think it's running rich, which i'm going to check all that this weekend, just wanted to get everyone's thoughts on it. I can't wait to get a spray kit and really take advantage of the converter though!!! On a good note though, I won a free pass tonight with a .509 light!!!

PS - I have 3.73's and 27" QTP's.

I run bullet extensions (12in) off my collectors and pick up alittle more torque on the dyno. I guess it is all about the car and the mods. If you aren't spinning with the Yank converter I would go way stiffer in the rear or maybe even down in tire size to a 26. I have heads and cam 408 (mild build) and usually go 1.42-1.44 off of the brake on my 400. I have the rears set at 10 (12way adjustable hals) with 29.5/10.5/15 and the tire pressure set at 22lbs. LOL

If you are spinning then throw away those Hossiers and get some Mickeys.

Yeah, I have the 12 way adjustable hals in the rear, but I still have stock shocks and springs in the front. Best I cut was a 1.70 off the transbrake and my buddy I said I spun a bit and I had the shocks set at 5 left 6 right. Later lowered to 2 and 3 to try and hook a little better and seemed like I dead hooked and only went 1.72. I'm gonna tap the car this weekend and see what's up with the tune and if it's off i'll retune it and see if it makes a diff. The only reason I have the 3.73's is b/c i'm plannin on sprayin it, plus I wanna keep it a little streetable. But I have to say this, the tci was way looser, damn thing flashed to like 4500 or so (I think there was something wrong with it) and this one is a lot less, flashes to like 3400ish. Could all that loss be in the converter?
