Default Help in the plates plz

I need some advices about the pIates, I have two chose :-

1) MADMAN motorplates and travel limiter without midplate.

2) APE midplate or motorplates without travel limiter.

Which one is better in your opinion plz

I'm confused. Motor plates and travel limiters are two completely different things. Are you talking about your budget and what you can afford at the moment? I believe you needed both the front and midplate to mount the motor. Travel limiters have to do with the suspension. Please elaborate a bit more.

transmission travel limiters...

Unless you run a solid tranny mount, you need limiters. The front plate will flex. A solid tranny mount does nasty things to the tailshaft housing.

How thick is the midplate? You need to consider clutch/converter spacing, length of dowel pins in the block, etc, etc when you go w/ a midplate.

I was actually talking to Madman about this today. What he told me was that you don't need a midplate for most apps (correct me if I'm wrong). But with a front plate and a travel limiter and a tranny mount (doesn't have to be solid), you are set. Also, without a midplate you don't have to deal with all the stuff Harlan was talking about -- extra space between tranny and motor that you have to account for.

Yah that is what i mean go with ( front plate and a travel limiter without midplate ) or go with midplate and motorplates ?

Like Harlan said, midplates complicate things when it comes to ordering the converter & the transmission. Coan asked me several times if I was running a midplate when I ordered my converter.
