Please help with tire height/wheel issue Hey guys please help me out. I want to run some et streets/drags next time I go to the track because my 60's are not getting any better. I will be spraing a 175 shot dry with my NOS 5177 kit (window switch on a 3K off at 6K) which will really be only about 135-155 rwhp. Rev limmiter is 6350. I have 4:10s and an M6 and will run out of 4th before the 1/4. I had to shift into 5th last time at the track an I wasn't spraying as much. I want to go the cheapest route becuase I am a student and cant really afford Bogrts or anthing too expencive. What I'm thinking I should do now is get some stock TA/Camaro rims and run them with some 28'' x 11.5'' - 16'' et streets. I know I will have to hammer at the wheel well and probably cut some rear quarter bumper material to get them to fit. WIll I have to roll the lip? Is this my best bet or is there something else I should consider. I really need some advice. Thanks.

well in terms of getting the job done to get you through the traps in 4th for the cheapest amount of money, yes you're plan is accurate.
however, if you want to do it right, you will get some form of 15" rim and run a 28X10.5X15 et drag, you will want that extra 1" of sidewall, especially with an M6 on the gun.
