Is my linelock broken?

My car rolls forward when i try to do burnouts at the track with my linelock on. I jacked up the front of the car and applied the brakes and had a friend try to spin the front wheels by hand and he couldn't budge it. Then i activated the linelock with the brake pedal pushed all the way in and i was able to easily turn the wheel, feeling a little resistance. do i have to replace the whole linelock unit?

Try stopping pump brakes 1-3 times hold down hard on last pump, hit line lock button, foot off brake. see if that helps.

how old is it?....i know you can rebuild the hurst ones...not sure about other brands

Make sure the in and out on the valve is hooked up correctly, wont work if its backwards, and you can hear it 'click' when you activate it.

I hear a click when i press the button. how do i tell if the in and out on the valve is hooked up correctly? (I've never installed anything more complex than a torque arm or a cat-back exhaust, would someone like me be able to figure it out or should i take it somewhere?). I also got in the car once after my brother had driven it the day before and he must have hit the button when he was getting out or something so i think it was on overnight. could this cause any damage? if so, how serious?
