try different rpms for launch, take some weight off the car, better hooking tires.

You got to do somthing about those 60' times. With your converter and a 3.73 you should be in the 1.7 60" with a drag radial. Get the car to leave and the rest of it will come together.

I tried launching at 2500 and spun forever and got a 14sec run.I got 13.5 from just punching it at idle.

As Danny said, your going to have to get some tires with that gear & stall combo. The new M/T drag radials are awesome. If your running on street tires, drop psi to about 25. Do a burnout good enough to bring a little smoke. Stall it up to about 1500 and kind of mash the pedal to the floor instead of slaming it down. That should give you a starting point to see if you need to leave softer, or harder. I dont know where your racing at, but I here tha track prep is usually good at NPR.

If your nittos are drag radials get in the water box and roast the tires get them hot. Pull to the line shallow stage (barely turn on the second light0, when it comes on stop. Bring it up to around 1000-1200 on the converter and roll into the throttle fairly quickly (dont slam it to the floor) This should get you some faster 60' and practice makes perfect.

what tire pressure you run in the nittos, with your setup at the donaldsonville track you should have no problems pulling some high 1.7 or better off the line.
and say bye bye to the flomaster and get you a real flowing catback or if you have to have the flomaster sound get a cutout.

I used to run my 16" nitto's at 15psi at the track, but still had to walk it out.

Besides launching, you should do the free mods.
