What guage wire for "battery in trunk"
I'm guessing I need 20ft?
What's good wire? I've heard of the wire that's used for welders (I forget the name)

You could do it with a lot less if you reused the stock harness for some of the wiring, but i chose to completely replace the stock harness.
I have no problems with startups.
1/0 = one ought. As outlaw mentioned welding cable is A LOT more flexible than electrical cable.

Auto battery cable is made to handle up to 50 volts up to 25 feet and is a pain to route around tight area's. About $2.10 a foot
Welding cable routes enough electric current to melt metal and 600 volts up to 25 feet. Welding cable is very flexiable. About $1.90 per foot.
