Burnout ?
Dump the clutch and get on the brake real fast with the left foot. Don't floor the hell out of the car or else you probably wont end up sitting in one spot (from what I've seen at least). Feather the gas, not too much but enough to roast 'em up and not low enough to have them stop. Then just coast away. Peel out? Just dump it.

depress clutch to floor
rev engine to 5krpm
release the clutch
instantly hit the brake
feather the gas keep rpms between 3k-4500rpm
once done let off brake slowly while giving engine less gas
*note if you dont hit the brake soon enough you will prob go sideways*

I always had trouble with jumping over to the brake, I always used to drift sideways. Now I heal-toe the gas and brake with my right foot and dump the clutch with my left, I found it to be a lot easier.

hmmmmm. I rev the crap out of it, sidestep clutch and jump to brake really fast. I normally do it in first. But depending on how the car is modded or if there water on the ground I start in second. I always heel toe clutch and brake but thats just me.

In my experience, I allways put it in 2nd gear, rev it up dump the clutch then just move my foot to the brake and smoke em up. Thats in my corvette, pretty much bone stock. I allways do a burnout in 2nd gear, not matter what the mods are on the car.
Get a line lock with a handheld controller. Force Fed Performance in Yuva City, CA made mine for me (the controller that is). I have a Hurst line lock FWIW in my '02.
This will allow you to do burn outs at the track hassle free and will also spare your rear brakes a lot of torture.

use a line lock slp sells them holly also. They are easy to put in and come with the brake lines allready to bolt on, just run a wire for the switch very easy to do and worth the effort
A line lock is what you need. We've been fabricating kits since 1996. Once you use it, you will wonder why you never had one before.
