for who is considering getting rid of some weight , consider how to transfer the proper weight to the back first.
-remove padding under carpet and insulation
-replace carpet with lightweight carpet
-!backseat
-!spare and jack
-race seats...kirkey or Jaz preferebly...if you have power seats there is a lot of weight there
-lightweight battery
-headers to replace heavy manifolds
-cutout w/no cat back after it....or true duals
-!air pump
-!ac condenser/ lines
-!hood insulation
-replace steering wheel with one !airbag
-replace wheels with bogarts or welds
- tubular k member
- tubular a arms
- wilwood drag brakes
- aluminum/ carbon fiber driveshaft
-fiberglass hood
-!winsheild wipers + motor
Okay thats a good start....that would drop a nice amount of weight but there is so much mour out there....btw a Lexan window wouldnt be good on the street because it will leak, it distorts vision, is uber expensive and would look f*n ridiculous riveted on a 12 sec car imho...save that for the pro stock guys
