Parts list needed Well, after alot of soul searching and coming to terms with my current motors premature death (14,400 original miles w/ 4 bottles of nitrous used) I have decided to buy a Shafiroff 434/685HP small block and run a direct port nitrous setup into the intake. Yes, no more OBD, no more laptop programming. Old school smallblock with a lot of nitrous. Should be good for about 900 hp and can be tuned locally.
I need to know what headers will work.
What kind of K-member will adapt to the small block motor mounts.
What sort of clearance problems for the alternator if I run it directly off the crank, and have a bracket fabbed up for it.
I already have a sheetmetal fuel tank, and fuel system on order. The only real problem I forsee is the above listed parts. I know Madman and a few others on here are running regular small blocks. Obviously you can see from my sig below that I already have every drag part the car needs for single digits, including a TH400 with a transbrake. I'm just tired of chasing demons in the tuning, and when that wasn't enough to **** me off, a perfectly good motor let go due to GM not being able to build a descent freaking oil pump.

The LT1 style k-member works good. I also have SBC motorplates for your car so then any k-member would work. Headers you could use the Hedman or Hookers for the LT1 depending on what heads you get. I built the ones on my motor because I wanted the 2" to 2 1/8" steps.
