Do I need more gear for the track?

SUX2BU, you should make it. I currently have 26" tires and 4.10 gears and a YTP 4400 and I am trapping 120 mph at 6600 RPM.
Bain, using 5% converter slippage, you will cross the traps at 6957 RPM at 125 mph w/ 4.10's and 26" tires. That's cutting it close but it should work. Actual converter slippage should be between 3~6%. I still think you should go with 4.10's and 27" tires or 4.30's and 28" tires.
