Unhappy How did I get slower with a cutout?

My previous best about a month ago was 13.1 @ 109.91.Was pumped. I figure I just needed a little more power to break the 110 mph mark and maybe squeek out a 13.0 or even better. So I decided to add a dynomax bullet and a qtp cutout. That has to flow better then a full catback and dynomax welded muffler. Last night geting the same or similar 60 foots(which are shitty, but on stock tires that suck.)I lost a tenth consistantly and best mph was only 109.6. On the 13.1 run I was using the factory tach shifting at limiter, (roughly), but since then added a raptor.I set it to 6000 as recommended by friend. Is it possible that 6000 shift points cost me time and mph or was it the cutout, which wouldn't make any sence at all unless there was a tuning issue? I meant to do a run ignoring the shiftlite but soon as I saw the red I shifted. Also wanted to do a cutout closed run,but figured there coudn't be any way it was that.Temperature was up a bit, maybe 5- 10 degrees.Either way, bummed out.Thinking about giving up until I do heads cam.May go drag radials soon, but really wanted a 12.9 on street tires. That quest is getting old!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for help.

Jay

My friend went both times as well in his diesel duramax and ran the same as his times before in the cooler weather.Does the slight temp change not affect the diesels?
Thanks

Can't really compare the Duramax w/the LS1....Next time at the track, make a couple of passes w/cutout closed--then open. If your 60's are the same, and the weather conditions are the same, you should have your answer..... WJ

Taking some RPM off of your shift-points will slow you down, too.

i'd say weather played a factor...just too small of a ET/MPH difference to prove that you slowed down bcuz of the cutout....run it once open, and then again closed, at close to the same engine temp, tire psi, same lane, etc, etc.
