Default M/T ET Street question

I have 28 12.50 15 ET streets and was told switch em side to side. I did and it gave me back my 1.47 60 ft wheels up launch. Question is how often should a guy switch them and what pressure (12.5PSI right now) for a heavy (3400#) M-6 car leaving at 6400-6800RPM? Front QA1s on 1 rears on 7, All ideas will be considered and maybe point out something I have overlooked.

Thanks, Tom

i never heard of switching sides before I would think that since its a wrinkle wall tire the wrinkles would go in the opposite direction? kinda strange to me

I swap mine side-to-side after 25-30 runs. It helps if you are always turning the same direction when entering and/or exiting the track (in my case a bunch of RH turns), and I usually get about 15-20 more passes from the tires by rotating.

ET streets (non-drag radials) and slicks are non-directional, so swapping sides doesn't matter.

depends, on the 70 nova i have been tuning on we went from 12 psi to 14 and found our 60 ft times drop from 1.48 to 1.37. we were spending alot of time wrapping the tire up (wrinkling) more pressure reduced the wrinkling and it made the car launch harder. on our current setup we may find another 3 or 4 hundreths on the 60ft if we swtich to a radial drag slick.

for now though our best 60ft has been on a 3200lb car leaving off the mat at 6100 (no two step) with the rear slicks being at 14 psi this is on a 28x10.5x15 mt et drag tire.
