Default How should I launch?

I've been racing turbo cars for awhile, so a N/A car is going to take some getting used to. I have a 4200 stall in my 2002 camaro, should I bring it up to a certain rpm or launch off idle? Last night I tried bringing it up to 2000 and letting off the footbrake while flooring it. Of course it spun but it hit the tires pretty hard.

Thanks for any help, BTW this car is an 11 second NA car and 10's on bottle. Previous owner ran the times.

I'll be on slicks too, and have a RT TA, BMR lowers, and QA1's.

With my 4200 I stall it to about 2400. I've tried different RPM's and that seems to be the sweet spot for mine.

Cool. What height tires are you running? 28" or 26"?

26"

Hooks pretty well so I don't think I'll worry about the 28's for a while.
