Default Two step people????????

OK I have a two step and love it. works great but I want to hvae a light (LED) or something that tells me when it is activated(light on) deactivated (light off) so what is the easy way to do this.
the yellow wire is coiled up neatly under hood for when I graduate college in 8 months and I can spray it cause i will have a new car. so that only leaves two wires. the cruse control wire (pretty sure that will not help me)
and the button wire,,,,, that is easy for me to get to too
so how can I use the activation button to also turn on a light or LED when it is still on.
I want this cause I puller up to the line tured it on then had to move a little on the gate, thought it turned it letting out on the clutch buit did not so when I turned it "back on" I thought I really turned it back off for real. then floored it and no two step just rev limiter. so any help would be great..

sorry for long post

Get yourself a 12V LED from Radioshack (They already have the current limiting resistor in them for direct connection to 12V)

Tie the positive side of the LED to 12V, the negative side to the yellow wire on the 2 step.

LED on, 2 step armed/active. LED off, no 2 step.

Simple

you can use the botton to turn on the LED, but all that will do is show you that the button is pressed If you're using the latch mode on the 2 step, it may not matter if you have the button pressed.

Running a light off the "active" (ie yellow) wire on the 2 step won't impact using it for nitrous disable in the future.

That's why I put it in the box in the first place

for the nitrous stuff. You'll need a double throw relay. Run terminal 85 to 12V (probably from your nitrous master switch) and run termianl 86 to the yellow wire on the 2 step. The relay should now click when you activate the 2 step.

splice the relay into your activation circuit for the nitrous using terminals 30 and 87a.

that's it.

This is how we wired it for nitrous with the manual transmission...
