Default 144lbs decent removal of weight?

I got a 98 T/A 6spd... dark charcoal leather.. power windows, power driver seat. and a few other things.. how much would this car weigh?

I removed about 150lbs from it since stock.. is this a decent amount? would this be enough to give me an edge in a race?

I removed spare tire + Jack
Catback assembly (open Y)
windshield wiper reservoir
crossmember brace
heatshields under the car
I removed cats

and other misc things... anybody got more ideas? I want to remove front bumper support but I get mixed reviews.. what are yalls opinion on it?

don't remove the front bumper support if you drive the car on the street. 150lbs is a decent amount of weight to remove. Theres a sticky at the top of the forum for other weight removal ideas

well general rule of thumb is that 100lbs off is around a tenth of e.t. reduction. w/ nearly 150lbs off the car you should be running atleast a tenth quicker than you usually did.
rear seats is about 20 pounds... front sway bar is like 10lbs or so, plus it will make the car 60 better. carpet is 35lbs i think, airbags, a/c, power steering... stuff like that you can get a good amount of weight out of the car for not spending anything.

weight reduction not only helps to make your car quicker, it also puts less stress on weak parts (like the 10 bolt rear). keep on strippin parts, who cares about safety stuff like bumper supports or airbags, just watch out for crazy drivers and dont drive like one. you have to realize that weight reduction is an addiction though, I am always thinking of something else to pull and I have done most everything on the weight reduction list. I guess its time I actually buy some lightweight parts so I can get her down to 3000 lbs with me in it.

I haven't had back seats, spare tire, jack, front bumper support, windshield washers, EGR, A.I.R., front swaybar, or catback for over a year and love it. I will be getting a Hooker catback when I get Longtubes though.
