Mph ?

Ran track the other night lower but so is mph.
60' 1.51
300 5.04
1/8 8.032 @ 82.72 ?

Ran at same track week before 8.4 @ 85 mph
What can I do to get mph up?

what tires are you running at what psi. might have them to low youll get great 60 foot but will slack off your mph.

Run street tires or cut a 1.9. When you cut a good 60ft your mph will go down. Thats a really good 60'.

I 'm running with 19lbs. I think I was told not to go below 12lbs. Thanks for the help
and I didnot know cutting a 60' will slow my mph.

I think the run might be a screw-up somehow, because the #s don't add up. You're going 8.0's on a 1.51 60 foot time?? Unless you have a stick car that will launch at 6 grand and dead hook with a lot of gear, or a high stall convertor behind an auto, I'd think the 60 foot was wrong.

The less air you run in your tires (slicks or equivalent), the more unstable they are at higher speeds and more rolling resistance you introduce vs higher psi. 19 lbs in a non-drag radial is too low, in a drag radial or slick/dot slick is fine.

I know but that is what the time tickets says I am m6 with DOT slicks 19lbs. dumping at 5,500 and spun the tires.

A 1.51 60 foot with a 5,500 clutch dump spinning sounds off to me. On a good nitrous pass my convertor flashes to 4500 rpm and I'll go 1.51 60 foot on the way to a 6.79 @ 99.8 mph in the 1/8, and that's hooking with both wheels in the air.

I'd go off your old tickets before holding stock in the new one.
