OK I own a M6 T/A WS6 (See sig for mods). I have BFG DR's for the track, but I seem to have trouble getting them to work. I heated them up in the water box, and spun the suckers good enough, but when I launch outta the hole, the car just flat out bogs, even at 4500 rpms. I have no idea why this is happening but it's F'ing annoying. The car just doesn't seem to be able to burn out outta the hole ones the tires are heated up. What rpms should I be launching at w/ these DR's? Also I need to know when you 1.8-1.9 sec. 60' guys are shifting at in 1st gear. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. My times our 2.2 sec. 60' for DR's and street tires.
I'm assuming stock gearing... If you are dumping the clutch, you will bog every time. Too heavy a car with too much gear and not enough motor for it...
When I made the same power as you, I was launching at about the same RPM and cutting 1.8 60 ft times, but I was slipping the clutch enough that I could smell it burning after every run to keep it from bogging. Needless to say, I was running good numbers, but replacing clutches once a year.
I always shifted right at 6k.
