Tube Front end Just looking for anyone who has cut all the stock steel from the firewall forward off and fabricated a chormoly tubular front chassis. I'm interested in hearing about it if you have, and really would like to see pics.

i had thoughts about it because i found an NHRA Formula with a wreked front end but at that point it's easier to convert it to a full tube chassis, hh

Just so you know, If your reasoning of "back halving" it is to race Outlaw 10.5 or something similar, most classes in sanctioning body's (just guessing that’s your point behind wanting to leave the firewall (hence balk half)) require stock front end mounting points.
So might as well just full tube the car rather then leave the firewall in it. This will also allow you to set the motor way back and that will help the car work better.
