Default Going to the Track this weekend

Hey guys well i am going up to Ubly this weekend for the 1/4 test and tune. This is my first time ever going to the track and ill be on my 18's with Fuzion ZRis jsut how it is in my pic. So i go there and when its my turn i pull up to the burnout area? not i nthe water box but jsut in fornt of it and do a small burnout to clean off the tires, than i pull up to the light and jsut wait for it to go than i go? Is this correct? Also ill stall up to around 1500 and let off brake and slam gas when i see the last yellow and gooo. Now how long should i wait between runs, any tips? Hoping for under 13.5. I know a friend of mine ran a 13.6 there early and i caught him o nthe highway, i am a little faster than he is and hopefully can get a better launch. I know the 18s are hurting me and the street tires but thats why i am getting some et street radials for my 16" stockers soon to go along with the fuddle 4k stall, and full exhaust this winter. How about the eibach kit? Will this hurt me or not really? Thanks. Tipppppssssss

Go around the water box, do not drive though it.

Spin the tires quickly/shortly to clear debris off and maybe give a smidgen of heat.

As you approach the line remember that it's in front of the tree by a good bit. Watch other cars stage from the stands first and you will see where the line is, probably with little boxes next to the wall.

Inch up so that the first yellow light goes, and you are now prestaged. Once you and the person next to you (not necessarily a competitor, ignore them for now other than this) have both prestaged inch up a little more until you light both yellow bulbs. Get ready, the tree will activate shortly. On a standard tree, go on the final (third) yellow, NOT on green. Don't try to anticipate the last yellow and go between the second and third, wait till you see the third yellow. That half second between the second and third might seem like a LONG time.

Make sure you don't let out early, stay in it a second or so longer than you think just in case. Know which side of hte track you turn off to hit the return lane. The car in the lane nearest this has the right of way and you should never cross over in front of them. Wait for them to turn off before you switch lanes, that is the safest bet. When I am in the far lane I often just go all the way to the end before turning around. Go SLOW on the return and staging lanes and in the pits.

Wow. well that was a bust. Didnt know i had to have a parent with me or a filled out form by a parent if i was under 18. So basically i got to the track. Found out i need pants and couldnt wear my shorts. so i got in and watched for a bit. Than i changed into some pants, hopped in my TA and rolled into the lane. As im getting up there the guy asks for ym card, i give it to him, he gives it back and says i need to fill it out (didnt even look at it). So im sitting there filling it out. After i do he comes and tells me since im 16 i have to have a parent with me or a filled out form....... anyway that was a bsut and i didnt even get to run. However this other kid that i hang around with Joe... hehas a 98 TA with Loudmouth and LT headers with some bald ZRi's and managed a best of 13.21@106. Wonder if i could have beaten that? Oh well. Next time ill be sure to have the form filled out. Also i saw an 04 goat there with 6 speed. Never saw it under 14.3, also saw an ls1 drop top z28 that had a best of 14.2 (horrible drivers). There was a nice SS running low 12's tho and a few 9 sec old cars.
