The new wheel I bought is (Jegs) part number 0470673.You could actually
put 4 buttons in it if you want.
That's exactly the reason I wouldn't put one on the shifter, to much of a chance of being hit.
Where do you mean "near the side"?

you could add a switch to the t-brake for safty, and correct me if im wrong, the t brake only works in 1st gera. isnt the t-brake putting it between gears? i know when i put it into nutral, i push the t-brake and it goes to revers.
i like my shifter location for the t-brake, right on top, however it has made me pull the car right into 2nd when i launch

I think the t brake locks it in first and reverse at the same time so it does not move...may be wrong though.

Here's mine, it's a Sparko Flash 3 with 2 buttons. The button on the left is line lock and the button on the right is the T Brake.

Wouldn't it be worse if you hit the line lock button while panic steering and cut pressure to the brakes?

You could always have a on/off switch for the line lock too, and turn it off after the burnout.

That was what I was going to do, have a switch that would kill the button after I'm finished with the burnout.

I like that, that's exactly how I envisioned mine looking.
Did you just drill a hole and seat the button in place with epoxy or is that threaded?
I have the same wheel btw, and I picked up that quick disconnect, that thing is great and easy to assemble.
Especially when I've already torn out every piece of electrical/airbag equipment out.

Thanks. Drilled a hole and the button is threaded.
