why shut of traction control?

i can see for the burn out, but wont the traction control give the least wheel spin down the track while floored?

You would probably have a better et if you spun all the way through 1st and 2nd than if you had tcs on.

It regulates your wheel speed to avoid spinning. To do that, it would have to automatically apply the brakes. When I'm leaving the starting line, the only thing that should be applying the brakes is my foot when/if it's necessary.
